Tim took his first trip to Italy with his daughter Natalie.
They also traveled with cousins and visited with their Aunt and Uncle in Genoa. On the way there, they had a brief layover in Paris. Tim's Aunt was the best local tour guide ever. They walked through Genoa, where they saw such landmarks as the house where Christopher Columbus grew up. The local market was filled with fresh food from all over the region. The views of the Genoa harbor were breathtaking. They took ferry boats to the Cinque Terre (Five Lands), small fishing villages that have been around forever and are tucked in the river valleys that dump into the Mediterranean Sea. This was Tim's favorite part of the trip. They also took a side trip to Rome with Tim's cousins and saw incredible historic structures such as the Colosseum and the Vatican. They also took another side trip to Florence, which was filled with culture and art, and a quick train stop on the way to see the leaning tower of Pisa. The best part of the trip, according to Tim, was being able to share these experiences with family. He touched the boar in Florence, so he would return...
